Bulk WHOIS Lookup

A bulk WHOIS lookupis a tool that queries domain registration databases for multiple domains at once. Instead of checking one domain at a time through a registrar's search box, a bulk tool sends simultaneous RDAP queries to the appropriate registry servers and displays the results in a structured table. Our bulk WHOIS lookup uses the modern RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), which is the IETF-standardized replacement for the original WHOIS protocol. RDAP provides structured JSON responses with consistent field names, making it ideal for automated queries and data processing. The tool queries Verisign RDAP for .com and .net domains, Public Interest Registry for .org domains, and NIC-managed RDAP servers for other TLDs, with a CORS proxy fallback for maximum compatibility.

1. Enter Your Domains:Paste or type up to 20 domain names in the text area, separated by new lines, commas, or semicolons. The tool automatically cleans up input - stripping protocol prefixes (http://, https://), www prefixes, and URL paths. You can also click the "Load sample domains" button to test with 10 popular domains including google.com, github.com, and cloudflare.com.
2. Simultaneous RDAP Queries:Click "Look Up Domains" to send parallel RDAP queries for all entered domains. The tool identifies the correct RDAP server for each domain based on its TLD - .com and .net go to Verisign, .org to Public Interest Registry, and other TLDs to their respective registry RDAP servers or the rdap.org redirect service. If a direct query fails due to CORS restrictions, the tool automatically retries using a CORS proxy service. Each query includes a timeout to ensure the tool doesn't hang on unresponsive servers.
3. Review Results in a Sortable Table:Results are displayed in a sortable table showing: domain name with success/error indicator, registrar name, creation date, expiry date (with 30-day expiry warning highlighting), nameservers, and domain status codes. Status codes include color-coded badges - green for active ("ok"), amber for pending states, and red for prohibitive or expired statuses. Hover over any status badge to see a human-readable description.

• Active Codes (Green): ok - the domain is active with no restrictions. This is the normal state for an actively used domain. inactive - the domain has no nameservers configured and cannot resolve to a website.
• Protective Codes (Red): clientTransferProhibited,clientDeleteProhibited, clientUpdateProhibited, and clientRenewProhibited are registrar-level locks that prevent unauthorized transfers, deletions, updates, or renewals. These are normal for active domains and help prevent domain hijacking. Server-level versions (prefixed with server) are set by the registry and are more restrictive.
• Grace Period Codes (Amber): addPeriod,autoRenewPeriod, renewPeriod, and transferPeriod indicate the domain is in a grace period following a registration, renewal, or transfer. During these periods, the registrar can reverse the transaction. pendingDelete,pendingTransfer, pendingUpdate, and pendingCreate indicate operations in progress.
• Expiry Codes (Red): redemptionPeriod - the domain has expired and is in a 30-day redemption period where it can be restored (often at an additional cost). pendingDelete may also indicate the domain is queued for deletion after expiry. expired - the domain registration has expired.

The bulk WHOIS lookup queries public RDAP servers directly from your browser using standard HTTPS requests. No domain queries are stored on any intermediate server - data flows directly from the registry RDAP server to your browser. The tool reads only publicly available registration data that is already accessible through standard RDAP queries. Since the introduction of GDPR, many registries have implemented RDAP access controls that redact personal registrant information - the tool returns whatever data the RDAP server provides, which typically includes registrar, dates, nameservers, and status codes but may exclude registrant name, email, and address for privacy-protected domains.
