What Is a Multi-Countdown Timer?
A multi-countdown timer lets you create and run multiple countdown timers at the same time. Unlike a single timer, this tool allows you to name each timer, set different durations, and control each one independently - start, pause, resume, reset, or delete them individually.
How Timers Run Independently
Each timer has its own internal interval that runs independently of others. This means you can start timers at different times, pause one while others keep running, and reset one without affecting any others. The progress bar updates in real time for each timer.
Browser Notifications & Audio Alerts
When a timer completes, it plays a short audio tone using the Web Audio API. If you grant notification permission, a browser notification will also fire - even if this browser tab isn't active. This ensures you never miss a timer completion.
Data Persistence & Privacy
All timers and their state are saved to your browser's localStorage. Timer state (including remaining time) persists across page reloads, though running timers are paused on reload for accuracy. Nothing is sent to any server.
