Inspiration Board (Mood Board)

An inspiration board, also known as a mood board, is a visual collection of ideas, colours, textures, images, and text that captures the essence of a creative concept. Designers, marketers, and creatives use mood boards to explore visual directions, communicate ideas to stakeholders, and find inspiration before starting a project. This digital mood board lets you arrange text notes, colour swatches, and uploaded images freely on a canvas.

Create one or more boards for different projects. Each board is a blank canvas where you can add items - type a note and press Enter to create a sticky note, click any colour in the palette to add a colour swatch, or upload an image from your device. Drag items to reposition them anywhere on the board, or resize them using the bottom-right handle. Select any item to bring it to the front. When your board is ready, export it as a PNG image to share or save.

Unlike physical cork boards or paper collages, digital mood boards are endlessly reusable and editable. You can create multiple boards for different projects, rearrange items freely without destroying anything, and export a clean PNG image at any time. All boards are saved to your browser's localStorage, so they persist between sessions without any account or cloud storage.

All board data, including uploaded images, is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. No data is uploaded to any server, stored in any database, or shared with third parties. Uploaded images are converted to data URLs and stored within the localStorage (capped by the browser's ~5-10 MB quota). The tool is completely free with no signup required and works offline after the initial page load.
